On March 28th, two outreach team members, Dr. Emma Goldberg and Emma Allen, and Indiana University ALL ALS site staff, Dr. Cynthia Bodkin and Angi Micheels, attended ALS United Indiana’s Living Well with ALS Vendor Expo & Learning Luncheon.
At the expo, the outreach team discussed ALL ALS research opportunities with and distributed resources to ALS community members from Indiana and neighboring states. They also had the opportunity to attend the expo’s multiple presentations and a movie screening of Stitching Strength: Fashion & Hope in ALS, which all centered on one important message: the power and meaning of claiming hope amidst hardship.
ALL ALS staff were thankful for the opportunity to connect with the ALS community members served by the wonderful teams at ALS United Indiana, ALS United Illinois, and ALS United Missouri and to build upon the ongoing collaborative relationships the program holds with community organizations and people impacted by ALS.
