North Bethesda, MD, September 11, 2025—The Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH) announces the launch of a dedicated research portal for the Accelerating Medicines Partnership® in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (AMP® ALS). The ALS Knowledge Portal will serve as a central hub for academic and industry researchers to access high-value, de-identified, individual-level clinical and molecular datasets.
AMP ALS is a public-private partnership that aims to accelerate therapeutic and biomarker development for ALS, a devastating, progressive neurodegenerative disease. Until now, ALS research has been largely decentralized, with data and biospecimens distributed across multiple institutions, making it challenging to identify common biomarkers and therapeutic targets. One of the key goals of AMP ALS is to collect and centralize current and future ALS datasets in a cloud-based, openly accessible knowledge portal.
