On June 7th, 2025 ALL ALS had the wonderful opportunity to host an educational table at ALS Arizona’s annual Bite Nite, a signature culinary fundraising event held in Phoenix that raises both funds and awareness for ALS. The evening featured incredible dishes from top Valley chefs and a dynamic live auction led by Letitia Frye. This year’s event raised an inspiring $550,000!
The program featured a heartfelt presentation from Kelly McDermid and Matt Mahle, honoring the strength and resilience of those living with ALS and celebrating the powerful spirit of the community. There were also presentations highlighting ALS Arizona’s incredible family centered events, like their adaptive ski and snowboard trip in Flagstaff, where individuals with ALS were able to enjoy the slopes alongside their loved ones. It’s just one of the many meaningful ways ALS Arizona fosters joy, connection, and support throughout the state.

Dr. Robert Bowser also shared an exciting update on Brad Smith, the first person with ALS to receive a Neuralink implant at Barrow Neurological Institute, marking a major milestone in innovation and hope for the ALS community.
We’re so grateful to be part of this inspiring evening!
